PACE is an innovative program enabling property owners to obtain low-cost, long-term loans for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation improvements. PACE Financing is sourced from an open lending market and secured through a voluntary PACE Special Charge, repaid directly to the lender. Eligible properties include commercial (office, retail, warehouse, hospitality), agriculture, and industrial located within a participating community. This includes for-profit businesses and non-governmental, tax-exempt properties such as privately-operated community centers and hospitals. Multifamily buildings of five units or more are also eligible.

Technology Investment Fund
The Technology Investment Fund (TIF) provides low- or no-interest loans up to $600,000 with terms up to five years for commercial and industrial customers implementing energy efficiency measures. Typical loans start at $100,000, but smaller loans may be considered on a case-by-case basis. TIF works in close partnership with Focus on Energy, so you can reach out to your Focus Energy Advisor to get the process started.

The Office of Energy Innovation (OEI) is supported by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin with a mission to promote innovative and effective energy policies and programs that benefit Wisconsin’s citizens and businesses. OEI maintains a robust list of funding opportunities from OEI and other organizations that may be helpful.

Wisconsin Department of Revenue
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue maintains a searchable list of tax credits and incentives available to businesses.
Elevate Energy Affordable Housing Loans
Elevate’s loan fund is for weatherization, renewable energy infrastructure, and other efficiency improvement projects that reduce the use of fossil fuels and carbon in affordable housing. The fund provides financial support for clean and affordable energy solutions for new construction and existing buildings that provide rental units to households earning less than 80% of the County Median Income.
